Actually, with recent order around 21st of Feb, DoD is going through a firing of probationary employees + planned hiring freeze soon after. Could it affect SMART? Possibly. Who knows. There's a lot of changing information relating to executive orders/direction from leadership at DoD that any attempts to predict its impact is honestly just pure speculation. Just have to sit and wait lol

No to both, the DoD is exempt from the hiring freeze.

Is the DoD affected by the executive order freezing the hiring of federal civilian employees? And could the SMART scholarship decisions potentially get affected by this?
