Yes standard TS or S clearance doesn't require a polygraph. It will depend on the specific Agency/organization you are working with whether they require a polygraph. My organization did not require a polygraph for the TS. Moreover, the polygraph was also not required for the SCI clearance at my particular organization.

SCI screening includes a polygraph. I thinking technically a poly could be allowable for base TS screening but it isn't at all common, as far as I know. A poly will not be part of the processing for an S.

Can someone explain what the security clearance process is like? Do they polygraph you? I thought it was just like a quick in person interview and then they call around and ask about you, make sure you’re not a felon, etc, but some people have been saying they polygraph???
