I think a better question is that even if "statistics" is under mathematics, what are the odds a sponsoring facility would even consider taking on a person doing that? I mean. Maybe you have a point. Unless I just have no clue what field statistics falls under, I would believe that it would be covered under mathematics.

Had an interview with an SF earlier this week. They asked about 8 or 10 questions. I was so nervous I honestly don't remember most of the interview :| I felt like it went okay.
