Resume Questions

Post by confused »

I was wondering how many pages your resumes are?

I applied last year (and didn't get it) and the person I had been interviewing with from a sponsoring facility gave me feedback on my resume and explained that she would have preferred a resume 2-3 pages long instead of the 1-page resume I submitted.

I was just wondering if anyone else is submitting a resume with more than 1 page?

I'm a late-stage PhD student, and I now allow my resume/CV to reach 3 pages and even then I'm sometimes uncomfortable with that length. I maintained it at 1 page all the way through undergrad. It sounds like the person at your SF is probably in the minority regarding what they're looking for in resumes. At the end of the day, it's your resume. If you feel that 1 page forces you to leave off meaningful experiences and qualifications, add another page.
