Out of curiosity, has anyone received an award after the initial release on April 4th? The email said that the DoD "will continue to make awards over the next few weeks." I am just wondering if that has started yet.

I am wondering the same concern when second-round notifications will be sent out? The last day that we could be notified?

I’m pretty sure that people who got a SMART offer on 4/4 have until 4/22 to accept or decline the offer. I would think second chance offers would start after that deadline has passed.

Do you think 2nd rounds come out all at once, or trickle through one by one as they decide who to award?

I am wondering the same question? Is it scattered over a week and when would be the last possible day to find out?

I've heard of people getting surprise awards in June, one even in July, but I think it's safe to consider it over by mid-May.

I received my second round selection notification April 2nd. Won't they send out an email informing you whether or not you have been selected?

That first Monday of April is the first round finalist notification. As people decline the scholarship, there are supposed to be more waves of awards but nobody seems to have gotten good news since then...

Seriously starting to wonder what gives, this year. Not a soul has posted about getting a pleasant surprise, here or in the Discord group, and my (would have been) SF said there's something odd going on with the USACE locations not getting their requested students. I reached out to SMART directly to ask if 2nd rounds go out all at once or as more funds become available and she just replied that the USACE wasn't going to be offering any more awards.

I am not sure. Maybe they simply do not have additional funds? Ultimately it's up to SMART.
