Hello! I had an interview in mid-January for one of my SF's and I thought it went well. Since then, we have not been in communication, and I can't decide if I should reach back out to them or just play the waiting game. I really did enjoy the people in addition to the facilities and the work that they do. Any advice on if I should reach back out or not?

Definitely worth reaching out. At the very least, you will have some idea of if they want to move forward with you.

I remember seeing a post here about someone who studied Environmental Science that just got ghosted after the interview. After following up with them a few weeks later, HR told him that they didn't really have any intention of hiring an environmental scientist. But the person only found that out after reaching out.
