Skipping a Summer Internship

Has anyone ever skipped a Summer internship at their SF? And I don't mean waive out of their internship, I mean actually skip and not do it. If so, what was the aftermath like? I am graduating Fall 2022 and I don't want to intern this Summer because I will be working full time for my SF shortly anyways.
