Hi folks,
I am curious as to how SMART scholars in the past received health insurance. My school has said that since the scholarship stipend funds are not being directly administered from the school to me, that I am not qualified for student health insurance. Has anyone else experienced this? Surely the $1,200 for health allowances isn’t enough for my prescriptions/appts etc for one year… I am worried.
Thanks!
Health insurance question
Re: Health insurance question
It wasn't actually enough for health insurance for me, so I just didn't get it. You can try to apply for medicaid I think, I had that at one stage, do not recall how.
Re: Health insurance question
Sign up for insurance on the marketplace. Thats what I did. Obamacare is good as long as you don't get sick or anything like that. Also, you get these roughly 2k rebates every year, which is just free money, or at least I did with my family of 4.
