Should I be worried?

So I'm currently applying for the SMART Dellums Scholarship, but I haven't heard anything since I received an email from the DoD that sponsoring facilities have begun looking at applications. I have not been contacted by any sponsoring facility, so should I be worried? Also, if a sponsoring facility has selected me, how will I know? I'm seriously starting to get anxious.

I am not exactly sure of the timeframe for the SMART Dellums Scholarship. I do know, from past statistics on the SMART website that it is much more competitive than the SMART Scholarship. I know, at least for the SMART scholarship that facilities have began to reach out to applicants, as I have been contacted. Facilities may be reaching out to Dellums applicants later than they reach out to normal SMART applicants but I am not sure. I would try not to worry too much and focus on finishing up high school. I am not saying you aren't going to get it this year but, if anything, apply next year. You will have MUCH better odds. Best of luck. I'm hoping the best for all of you and myself.
