I got a phone call this morning from a number I didn't recognize - "Oh boy, I bet it's the SMART people!" Nope. It was my apartment telling me I bounced a rent check. (I have two checking accounts and accidentally wrote the check from the wrong one.) So cheer up, at least you didn't do that!

The SMART Program Office is out of Monterrey, CA, but the award emails are delivered by ASEE, which is in Washington, DC.

Last year, award emails went out around 5:05PM EST on April 1.

I'd really like the notifications to go out before 5:00, I have classes at that time, where joyous shouts or crying will not be permitted... which means I have to restrain myself from checking my email in them...

I'm in the same boat; somehow crying or shouting in Physics class wouldn't necessarily be acceptable. I'm trying to keep myself busy though, checking this board just adds to my anxiety.

Create a rule to send email from the @asee.org domain to a new folder and then only freak out when that folder gets mail.

I dunno - but it's probably not good for the human heart to skip a million beats... could result in brain damage :(

I GUARANTEE you we'll get notifica at 4:59pm. Do you guys think there will be any delays in notifications going out? Like, they wouldn't get sent out today? I seriously don't think I could take one more day of this.... :(
